Whenever I'm caught in a bramble, I struggle to remember that God put thorns on this earth for our good. One thing that's interesting is that the same brambles that cumber my journey provide safety to cheerful songbirds. More interesting is that when a crown of thorns was being beaten into Christ's scalp, He had no hatred or bitterness toward those beating Him. And He loved us so much that He would rather earn freedom for us than avoid this torture. This photo was taken at the Queen Elizabeth Gardens in Vancouver, BC.
